History and Design
The Street Sweeper shotgun was originally developed by Hilton R. Walker in 1981 and manufactured in South Africa under the name Armsel Striker. It was adopted by the Zimbabwean Army and, in limited numbers, by the Israeli military. In 1984, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (BATF) determined the weapon had no sporting purpose, placing it under NFA regulation as a destructive device.
